Office Staff

 

I am Kraig Harrison, I am the new office staff member. This is my 7th year in the district. Some of you may know me as I have been a substitute teacher here at Burns Park or may have seen me at several other schools in the past couple years.  I am so excited to be a member of the Burns Park community. When I am not at Burns park I love cooking, playing TTRPGs and gardening.

I am so excited to join the Burns Park Community as the Office Professional! I grew up in Gary Indiana and moved to Ypsilanti for college. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Foreign Language and International Marketing from Eastern Michigan University in 2009. I started working for American Airlines in 2005, and continue to work nights there. If you’re coming through DTW late at night, you may see me there! I transitioned into childcare during the pandemic, and after the schools started back in-person learning, I began to substitute teach. I have two children that started attending Burns Park this year, in third and fifth grade.  I really look forward to getting to know and support all of the Burns Park Penguins this year!

Outside of working two jobs, I enjoy going to concerts, painting, puzzles, video games, karaoke, swimming, naps, and traveling (especially to Disney!).  I really look forward to getting to know all of the Burns Park Penguins this year!
