2nd Grade

I am Kevin Conte and I am proud to be teaching the 2nd/3rd grade split class at Burns Park. I have been teaching for over 20 years including the past six as a Penguin instructor. I earned my BA in Elementary Education from Michigan State University and I am currently in the process of earning my MA from Eastern Michigan University.

In our classroom students are encouraged to take ownership of their learning; both academic and social skills. We focus on gaining independence and problem solving skills.

I'm an Ann Arbor Public Schools graduate from Dicken, Slauson and Pioneer. My family has been a part of this community for a long time and owned a store downtown, originally opened in 1910. I graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in Elementary Education and an Early Childhood Education endorsement. I'm currently pursuing my masters in Early Childhood Special Education at Eastern Michigan University. I'm excited to be returning to Burns Park, after teaching third grade at Angell for a year. I love spending time with my family and two dogs! I also enjoy camping, watching hockey (Go Wings!), snowboarding, softball, cooking, and bowling with my husband and parents in a local league.
